15 cm sIG 33 (Sf) auf PzKpfw I Ausf B

A sIG 33 self-propelled gun in Greece
sIG 33 self-propelled gun, of the 5th Panzer-Division,
negotiating mountainous terrain in Greece in April 1941.

The sIG 33 was based on Panzer I chassis mounted with the sIG 33 150 mm heavy howitzer. It was used to provide close support to the motorized infantry companies. 


The vehicle weighted 8,500 kgr, was operated by a crew of five and carried only three rounds. It saw service with the 701st to 706th Heavy Infantry Gun Companies.
